Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science and Director of the English Taught Program at the College of Social Science at the National Chengchi University (NCCU), Taiwan. Before joining NCCU, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Political Studies and the Research Chair in Taiwan Studies at the University of Ottawa. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Toronto. 

My teaching and research interests focus on the politics of international migration and social welfare. My work has appeared in academic journals such as the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Critical Sociology, and Asian Journal of Social Science. I am also the co-editor of Emotions, Community, Citizenship: Cross-Disciplinary Perspectives, published by the University of Toronto Press in 2017.​ 

My research has been supported by grants and fellowships from Taiwan Ministry of Science and Technology, Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation, and Korea Foundation, among others.
