I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the National Chengchi University, Taiwan. Before joining NCCU, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Political Studies and the Research Chair in Taiwan Studies at the University of Ottawa. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Toronto in 2019.

My teaching and research interests focus on the politics of social welfare and international migration. My work has appeared in academic journals such as the Journal of Ethnic and Migration, Critical Sociology, and Asian Journal of Social Science. I am also the co-editors of Emotions, Community, Citizenship: Cross-Disciplinary Perspectives, published by the University of Toronto Press in 2017.​ 

I has received grants for my work from Taiwan Ministry of Science and Technology, Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation, and Korea Foundation.
