I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the National Chengchi University in Taiwan. Before joining NCCU, I was the Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Ottawa, School of Political Studies and the Research Chair in Taiwan Studies. I received my doctoral degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto.

I research the politics of social welfare provision and care migration, with a focus on the transnational migration of care workers in East Asia. My work has been published in academic journals such as the Journal of Ethnic and Migration, Critical Sociology, and Asian Journal of Social Science. I am also one of the co-editors of Emotions, Community, Citizenship: Cross-Disciplinary Perspectives, published by the University of Toronto Press in 2017.

My work has been acknowledged by Dr. Lincoln M. Alexander Award, China Times Cultural Foundation Young Scholar Award, Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation Dissertation Fellowship, and Korea Foundation Fellowship for Field Research, among others.
